YouTube rolls out Originals in India, plans paid service

For now, India Originals will be on the company’s ad-supported platform. But it will eventually launch an ad-free subscription service — YouTube Premium. YouTube is looking at multiple formats for original content in the country at a time when it is attracting 245 million unique users each month. The platform will kick off with a show on AR Rahman.
