Sensex rebounds from 500-point plunge; Nifty near 10,500

On the BSE index, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Bank, HDFC, Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank were among the major losers, sliding as much as 2.97 per cent. On NSE, apart from Nifty Metal and PSU Bank, all other sub-indices were trading in red, down as much as 1.90 per cent.
