Trump signs measure keeping US government open until December 21

Congress on Thursday approved the 2-week stopgap spending bill to avert a government shutdown, setting up a potential standoff over Trump's proposed border wall later this month. Before the extension expires on Dec 21, the Congress is expected to consider a $450 billion bill to fund government agencies through the fiscal year that ends next September 30.
