British Prime Minister Theresa May has survived a no-confidence motion by a margin of 19 votes scuppering plans by the opposition to call an early general election. A total of 325 MPs rejected the no-confidence motion which had been tabled by opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn, and 306 MPs voted in favour of it.
