Research: Nation's low-rated hospitals are deadlier due to mistakes, botched surgery, infections

About a quarter of hospitals got a B and 36% earned Cs. The five states with the highest percentages of “A” hospitals were Oregon,  Virginia, Maine, Massachusetts and Utah. There were no A-rated hospitals in five other states: Wyoming, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., Delaware or North Dakota.
